Some years ago a hazardous Canadian was surprised by the landscape of Chiapas coast and decided to devote his time to offer travelers a break in what is known today as Jose´s Camping Cabanas.
This campground has several special features, the first one is that at the end of the property it has a picturesque lagoon, not very large and shallow, it is full of mangroves, it is home to hundreds of birds of various species with beautiful colors, such as herons and parrot and there are also some small crocodiles.
In this atmosphere of palm trees and estuary, you will find these 5 clean and economical bungalows, with a racer to place hammocks, a table to share with family and friends, plus a grill with wood, 2 double beds, pavilions, a fan and bathroom. In addition to this, there are 5 huts that include 2 bedrooms for 6 people, plus camping. The costs range from 100 pesos per person to 500 pesos per bungalow in non holiday season.
The culinary art is a part of the cabins attractions. It can be as simple as a choice of eggs or they can be more elaborated dishes which involve the hands of owner John Rounding with his special dishes of sea bass in different presentations, all as delicious as the Pacific sunsets.
