Located in the heart of the Biosphere Reserve of the Crossroads, Costa Verde offers tours of mangroves, lagoons and estuaries, such as El Aguaje and El Silencio, to watch birds, crocodiles, reptiles and other animals that inhabit this wonderful place. Through its Environmental Interpretation Center and ecotourism tours Costa Verde’s partners will teach you the wealth of this part of the Reserve.

In Costa Verde you can stay in eco-tourism center “The Brown”

cabins and rooms with double bed with a cost of $ 300.00 pesos for the entire year, has food service, communal bathrooms, electricity, boat tours and canoe and rental service kayak for only $ 100.00 per person. You can also find shell crafts and seafood.

How to get there…

Costa Verde, in the Community The Chestnut is located opposite the San Nicolás estuary, 23 km from the city of Mapastepec, from where you take the dirt road that passes through the communities of Ibarra and Roberto Barrios. You can also arrive by boat, enjoying a walk of 50 min. (25 km) along the estuary from the dock “The Heron” in Acapetahua.
