Sun, estuary and camping awaits you at the Ecological Center “the calf”. Share with your family on a sunny day in a restaurant at the edge of the beach enjoying food in the region from $ 70.00 pesos a dish or rent an umbrella with 1 table and 4 chairs for         $ 100.00 during the day. This ecotourism center is equipped with environmentally friendly technologies: solar and water treatment plant. It has a restaurant – palapa for 200 or 300 people, bird observatory which offers visitors its regional cuisine, a stunning beaches and recreational activities and aquatic ecotourism tours in kayaks and canoes, rent of hammocks and lounge chairs for $ 30.00 pesos.

With 24 hours surveillance, “El Ballenato” (the calf) also has internet service, showers, baths and daily transportation at a cost of $ 60.00 pesos per person round trip from 8 am to 6 pm.

Here you can spend the night under a palapa in a tent for 4 people for $ 100.00 or in the hammocks and enjoy the starry sky like few places and if you are someone who has the camping gear ready, just pay for the food and the camping spot is free of charge, enjoy a unique camping, organize your campfire and live it.

How to get …

To reach the Ecological Center La Palma – “El Ballento” (The calf) must take a boat at the pier to the Herons which is located 18 km (paved) of Acapetahua, Chiapas. After docking the boat trip takes about 20 minutes.
